The opportunity

The purpose of the Field Value Evidence and Outcomes (VEO) position at Teva Pharmaceuticals is to be an expert of managed care and health systems delivery of patient care with high scientific and medical acumen in therapeutic areas of interest to Teva Pharmaceuticals USA. The purpose will be achieved with the Field VEO acting as an unbiased scientific and educational resource to managed care organizations and affiliated delivery network organizations. Additionally, the Field VEO will work within their region with Market Access Account Manager Colleagues to foster relationships with Managed Care, Health Systems, and Health Economics and Outcomes Research (HEOR) External Experts (EEs) with the goal of improving patients’ health outcomes. This position is field-based within a regional geography but is responsible for stakeholders on regional and national levels. The Field VEO works under the departmental guidance of the Field Director, Value Evidence and Outcomes within US Field Medical Affairs & North American Medical Affairs.

The territory boundaries for this position are Kentucky, Tennessee, Mississippi, Alabama, Louisiana, Georgia, South Carolina and Florida. The ideal candidate for this role will reside within the territory.

How you’ll spend your day

Scientific Credibility and Expertise:

⦁ Serve as a medical and scientific resource for the Managed Care and Health System Delivery Network community in therapeutic areas of interest to Teva Pharmaceuticals USA.

⦁ Demonstrate scientific credibility and expertise through scientific (HEOR) or clinical presentations to Managed Care, Health System Delivery Networks, and HEOR External Experts Ensure data competency in all therapeutic areas supported by and associated with Teva products

⦁ Provide field-based medical and scientific information for responding to a request for medication information regarding Teva products and related therapeutic areas

Managed Care and Health Economics and Outcomes Research Advocacy Development:

⦁ Engage in scientific and clinical dialogue with key individuals in the Managed Care system and outcomes research area regarding the value proposition for Teva products

⦁ Develop peer relationships with External Expert members of the Managed Care community responsible for scientific evaluation of products and that result in scientific understanding of Teva

Market Access Support:

⦁ Act as a resource and support the Market Access team communicating the value proposition of Teva Products within corporate guidelines

⦁ Provide relevant medical and scientific support for managed care audiences, health outcomes, and health care systems’ key decision makers by delivering high quality medical/scientific presentations in a variety of managed care settings

Health Economics Outcomes Research Support:

⦁ Act as a field resource and support the HEOR team helping to inform the strategic plan for the value proposition of Teva Products and execution of individual projects aligned to the strategic plan of Teva Products

⦁ Partner effectively with internal VEO and HEOR teams to provide strategic insight into furthering understanding the needs of the Teva brands

Your experience and qualifications

⦁ Advanced scientific degree (MD, DO, PhD, PharmD,) or equivalent required (relevant residency and/or fellowship experience preferred)

⦁ An established track record of effective oral presentations and relationship development within the healthcare profession;

⦁ Disease management, clinical experience in Teva therapeutic areas preferred; background in CNS, Neuro, Migraine, Psychiatric Disorders, Movement Disorders, or Immunology is ideal.

⦁ Minimum 3 years prior experience in a clinical or clinical field role within HEOR, Pharmaceutical industry, Managed Care, or in Integrated Delivery Networks, or Accountable Care Organizations.

⦁ The position requires approximately 60% overnight travel with several night and/or weekend activities throughout the year.
