Position Summary

The Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at Morehouse School of Medicine is seeking a Licensed Psychologist with substantial expertise in child and adolescent mental health. The successful candidate should be community oriented with a demonstrated interest in and commitment to the advancement of mental health equity through clinical care, education and scholarship. The appointment also allows for child psychiatry fellow teaching.

General Responsibilities:

  • Engage in teaching, scholarship, and clinical service in the field of psychiatry and behavioral sciences consistent with the department’s needs and the faculty member’s interests.

  • Participate in select administrative duties such as serving on departmental, UME and/or GME , and/or institutional committees.

Reports to:

Department Chairperson, with dotted line reporting to the CAP Program Director

Minimum Qualifications

  • PhD or PsyD

  • Georgia Psychology License or ability to obtain one

  • Child & Adolescent Clinical Experience

  • Strong interpersonal, clinical and professional skills

  • Provide care in a children’s mental health clinic

  • Serve on department, institutional, and community-based committees

  • Provide medical student, resident and/or fellow teaching and supervision

  • Contribution to scholarly activities

It is MSM’s Immunization policy that all Prospective Employees are required to provide proof that they are vaccinated against COVID -19 prior to commencement of employment. If employment will commence during Flu Season, MSM requires all individuals to provide proof that they are vaccinated against Seasonal Influenza for the current Flu Season, unless granted an exemption.
