Trinity Health RN Critical Care Unit Manager in Athens, Georgia

Description:

This position has full responsibility for daily operations of Critical Care (ICU and NCCU). Oversees the day-to-day clinical aspects related to the ICU and NCCU. Available as needs arise in the unit on nights and weekends. Presence in the critical care areas occasionally required on night shift and weekends. Communicates with all physicians and appropriate parties managing a quality patient care unit. Participates in and develops performance improvement measures. Assist in the planning of the departmental budget. Responsible for financial accountability within the department that includes productivity measures and monitoring. Coordinates educational classes to meet the annual competency requirement of the staff.

Position Requirements :

Licensure/Certification/Registration : Graduate of an accredited Nursing Program with a current Georgia RN license in good standing to practice as a Registered Nurse. Membership in a professional organization preferred. National Certification in Inpatient Obstetrics preferred.

Education: BSN preferred, BLS and ACLS required. Certification in area of specialty preferred upon hiring and required within one year of hire date.

Experience: Minimum of 4 years experience in specialty required. Excellent clinical knowledge and skills required. Leadership experience preferred. Critical care experience required.

Special Qualifications: Must be able to develop and implement a consistent program for quality assurance. Must be able to communicate and address concerns identified in a suitable manner. Must be able to interact with Physicians, Patients, Family, Nursing staff and ancillary staff. Communicates effectively with supervisors, physicians, employees and other departments. Deals with patients and staff in a caring, professional manner and encourages the same attitudes in his/her subordinates.
