Description:

HISTOLOGIST, Fulltime in Pathology Lab at St Mary's Hospital in Athens, GA Monday- Friday 7am to 3:30pm No Weekends and No Holidays.

Position Purpose:

Position is responsible for processing, embedding, microtomy, staining, and processing of frozen sections from OR.

What you will do:

  • Processing, embedding, microtomy, staining and processing of Frozen sections from the OR

  • Accurately Performs all histology procedures to meet the needs and expectations of the pathologists’ in providing quality patient care.

  • Assisting the Pathology Lab Supervisor

  • Other Duties assigned in the Lab.

What you will need:

  • Licensure/Certification/Registration : HT/ HTL (ASCP)

  • Education: High School Diploma

  • Experience: Prefer at least 2yrs exp as Histologist

  • Systems: Prefer experience with EPIC
