About the Role:

As a CBRE Health, Safety and Environment Manager, you will be in charge of creating and implementing health, safety, and environmental programs for a national data center client.

This job is part of the Environment Health and Safety function. They are responsible for organizational programs and procedures to safeguard employees and surrounding communities.

What You’ll Do:

• Manage HSE programs and initiatives to meet regulatory requirements and HSE needs of a client account. Evaluate new and existing programs to assess suitability and the need for changes.

• Manage, develop and implement HSE programs and initiatives to meet regulatory requirements and HSE needs of the client account.

• Assist with implementing and reviewing playbooks, and procedures. Ensure Health, Safety, and Environmental initiatives drive program consistency and efficiency.

• Manage initiatives to meet regulatory, legal, and compliance requirements.

• Track operational and safety risks. Develop and manage strategic risk management strategies to avoid potential incidents.

• Monitor injury, illness, and incident reports within account. Provide recommendations on how to prevent risk.

• Monitor Health, Safety, and Environmental regulatory compliance within the account. Work with management to create strategic solutions that improve, correct and maintain compliance as required.

• Work with stakeholders to identify potential concerns. Communicate findings, concerns, and deficiencies to responsible functional managers.

• Assist in identifying in opportunities to reduce costs while enhancing quality of services for a client/account.

• Promote safety consciousness among employees by providing accurate and informative data, conducting safety meetings, giving timely feedback, on safety suggestions and visibly supporting the safety program(s).

• Act as a resource to staff and employees as an HSE subject matter expert.

• Lead by example and model behaviors that are consistent with CBRE RISE values. Influence parties of shared interests to reach an agreement.

• Apply knowledge of own discipline and how own discipline integrates with others to achieve team and departmental objectives.

• Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve day-to-day and moderately complex issues which may or may not be evident in existing systems and processes.

May travel up to 20% as needed.

What You’ll Need:

• Bachelor's Degree preferred with 3-5 years of relevant experience. In lieu of a degree, a combination of experience and education will be considered.

• Demonstrated knowledge of federal, state and local health and safety, and environmental regulations is highly preferred.

• Experience working in manufacturing, construction, and / or facility maintenance and management is preferred.

• Additional certifications as required by the local authority. Certified Safety Professional (CSP), Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH), Certified Hazardous Material Manager (CHMM), Occupational Health and Safety Technician (OHST) - Preferred

• Ability to guide the exchange of sensitive, complicated, and difficult information, convey performance expectations and handle problems.

• Leadership skills to motivate team impact on quality, efficiency, and effectiveness of the job discipline and department.

• In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
