Amergis Healthcare Staffing is seeking a Case Worker responsible for start-up, intake,management, and settlement of casualty/estate cases involving Medicaidrecipients or deceasedMedicaid recipients/clients.

Responsibilities:

• Confirm Medicaid eligibility for causality cases

• Obtain additional information required for case start-up from beneficiaries and/orattorneys

• Intake referralleads from attorneys, insuranceadjusters, and medical providers

• Review and researchleads regarding potential accident or trauma situations

• Investigate, research, review, and compile information from multiple sources

• Interfacewith attorneys, insurance adjusters, and medicalproviders, court staff, personal representatives/executors of estates, and family members

• Prepare necessarycorrespondence, liens, and other documents

• Work, maintain,and manage active Casualtyand/or Estate recovery cases

• Perform basic legal research; compilevarious reports

• Review medical claimshistories

  Minimum Requirements:

• 2+ year professional experience preferred - will rely on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functionsof the job

• Strong communication skills and excellent organizational and prioritization skills

• Ability to handle conflict

• Must Have Bachelor's degree

• Knowledge of medical terminology is a plus

• Knowledge of probate procedures, rules and statutes a plus

• Familiarity with Medicaid rules and regulations

• Computer proficiency required
