Responsibilities*

Administer developmental, psychological, and neuropsychological tests to patients across the lifespan within the Department of Psychiatry's Neuropsychology Clinic. We are looking for individuals who can develop and maintain rapport with patients; score, organize and present test results including detailed behavioral observations; assist in training new students, interns, and postdoctoral fellows. Review, prepare and maintain testing materials (forms and equipment) in the individual offices and shared storage space is also expected. Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications*

  • Master's degree in Psychology or related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required

  • State of Michigan Limited License or Temporary Limited License as a Psychologist

Physical Requirements:

The majority of the time will be spent in a seated position at a desk or testing table. Occasional pushing of patients in wheelchairs to and from the testing office is required. Some distance walking on main hospital campus when assigned to see inpatients.

Desired Qualifications*

Experience in the administration of developmental, psychological, and neuropsychological measures to patients throughout the developmental spectrum (i.e., childhood through geriatric) is preferred.

Work Schedule

Hours: 40 hours per week Candidate must be on-site and available to provide patient care during hours of operation (8am-4:30pm).

Work Locations

Primary Location: Plymouth Park, Ann Arbor, MI Other Location: Occasional travel to other Michigan Medicine facilities to see patients. *Must have reliable transportation.

Background Screening

Michigan Medicine conducts background screening and pre-employment drug testing on job candidates upon acceptance of a contingent job offer and may use a third-party administrator to conduct background screenings. Background screenings are performed in compliance with the Fair Credit Report Act. Pre-employment drug testing applies to all selected candidates, including new or additional faculty and staff appointments, as well as transfers from other U-M campuses.

In addition to the screenings indicated above under Michigan law, a criminal history check including fingerprinting is required as a condition of transfer or employment for this position.
