Pay:

$19-$21/HR

Description:

  • Ability to perform small parts assembly and soldering under a microscope.

  • Experience assembling our working with electronics

  • Ability to work off of schematics

  • Ability to use a computer

Job Summary:

  • Candidates will be working on the first shift from 7:00 am - 3:30pm. They a will be working in an assembly cell assembling transducers and electronics components for the air and defense industry.

  • They will be required to solder small parts underneath a microscope. This position requires candidates to stand 80% of the day so they have to be comfortable working on their feet.

  • This not a clean room environment but the work area's are designed to run lean and to be kept orderly.

  • Candidates are responsible for troubleshooting and performing initial quality test on their assembled products using a desk top computer.

  • They will being in a training cell under the supervision of the lead assembler then they will be working independently.

Main Tasks:

  • Fabricate and assemble miniature electro-mechanical assemblies and devices utilizing manual dexterity skills with small tools.

  • Read and understand mechanical assembly drawings, assembly instructions and other associated engineering documentation.

  • Use small tools such as tweezers, cutters and wire strippers to perform micro assembly of mechanical and electronic components

  • Soldering, resistance welding, mechanical fastening, and adhesive bonding and wiring are main assembly functions

  • Assemble miniature electronic products for build-up of cable assemblies.

  • Conduct and troubleshoot various calibrations using appropriate methods, concepts, techniques and equipment

  • Surface cleaning, identification, labeling, inspection and packaging of components.

  • Limited functional testing and troubleshooting of sensors.

  • Recommend improvements in assembly procedures and tooling.

  • Logging in and out of computer transactions

  • Perform other duties as assigned.
