What you will do:

The lead CVT ensures integrity and competency of all staff in the monitor and scrub role. Collaborates with the inventory specialist to promote financial stewardship with inventory management, new products, and billing system. Understands radiologic, all equipment/devices and information technology used in the CCL.

Responsibilities:

  • Completes CVT work schedules and on call schedules; assuring no gaps in coverage.

  • Communicate with charge nurse CVT competencies to ensure safe room assignments.

  • Coordinate staff utilization with charge nurse.

  • Interviews CVT applicants and makes recommendations for hire, working closely with HR.

  • Ensures operational efficiency of all equipment including daily QC of X-ray equipment, CardioPacs/synapse.

  • Oversees all CVT orientation and competencies.

  • Participates in orientation/staff meetings.

  • Develops structured all-encompassing CVT training program and recommends for and when technician can advance within the lab.

  • Remediation of CVT’s when needed.

  • Implementation of new procedures and equipment.

  • Manages inventory with supply-chain; internal and external.

  • EPIC super user.

  • Collaborates on staff learning needs.

  • Participates in department meetings: structural heart, M/M, operations, etc.

  • Collaborates with billing department and builds charges for new procedures.

  • Interacts with industry and the inventory specialist to ensure lab up to date with old and new devices and equipment and ensures teaching and in-services for the Cath lab staff.

EDUCATION REQUIRMENTS:

  • AAS in Cardiovascular Technology or Radiology or Nursing

  • RCIS or Radiology Licensure or RN licensure

EXPERIENCE REQUIRMENTS:

  • 3-5 years cardiac Cath lab experience including diagnostic, interventional experience

  • Experience with complex devices (IABP, Impella, EKOS)

Pay Range: $34.53 - $43.77

Pay is based on experience, skills, and education. Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates. The pay range may also vary within the stated range based on location.
