Army Installation Management Command Recreation Equipment Repairer NA-07 in Aberdeen Proving Ground, Maryland

Summary This position is located at MWR - Golf Property OPS Maintenance & Energy. Responsibilities Performs repair work on a variety of equipment including gas powered rental golf cars, gang mowers, green mowers and other mechanical equipment utilized in the daily operation and maintenance of a golf course. Performs minor engine repairs by cleaning, adjusting, and/or replacing defective parts, of components and systems including wheel cylinders, mufflers, brake shoes, carburetors, etc. Performs preventive and routine maintenance with schedules as established by supervisor. Keeps accurate records of all preventive and routine maintenance and repair work accomplished. Maintains parts accountability records for all repair parts. Maintains shop area clean and may be required to operate specialized golf course maintenance equipment. Performs other duties as assigned. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Qualifications: SKILL AND KNOWLEDGE: Must have a general knowledge of operational and repair characteristics requirements for small gasoline engine powered equipment. Must be able to use a variety of hand tools and equipment required in small engine repair work. Must be able to read manufacturer's manuals and to determine repair parts requirements. Incumbent must be able to complete such entries as issue and turn-in dates, item names and stock or part numbers on issue, and turn-in forms. FWS Allowances and Differentials This is a federal wage schedule (FWS) position. All FWS employees are entitled to overtime work for work in excess of 8 hours in a day or in excess of 40 hours in the administrative workweek, whichever provides the greater benefit to the employee.
