UIC Government Services and the Bowhead Family of Companies Fire Direction/Naval Fire C2 SME in Aberdeen, Maryland

Overview

FIRE DIRECTION/NAVAL FIRE C2 SME (PMLRF):

Bowhead is seeking a Fire Direction/Naval Fire C2 SME with extensive experience in Marine Corps and Joint Fires doctrine and Fires Systems to support the PM Long Range Fires contract located in Aberdeen, MD. The USMC LNO to the US Army FSC2 is the eyes and ears to the Marine Corps Systems Command Fire Direction and Naval Fires Command and Control Program Office.

Responsibilities

  • Attend all FSC2 meetings with regards to Fires to include JADOCS, JTIC2S, AFATDS Legacy, AFATDS AXS, TBMCS, DFSTS and EMT

  • Take meeting notes and deliver to the USMC AFATDS Program Office

  • Ensure USMC Priorities are being addressed in software meetings and development.

  • Address concerns on future AFATDS requirements of the USMC AFATDS program office

  • Assist in drafting RDDs for future USMC Fires requirements

  • Maintain and update the USMC AFATDS software distribution list and future software distribution methods

  • Assist in drafting ECP documents for Message Specifications changes forUSMTF, ASCA,VMF and Link-16

  • Collect and consolidate weekly reports for the FD&NFC2 Team

  • Red line and assist in the development of test documentation and events for the AFATDS program

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree with four (4+) years of experience in digital fires systems or high school diploma or GED with twelve (12+) years of experience in digital fires systems

  • Must have a thorough understanding of AFATDS functionality and its role in the fires kill chain

  • Must have a working understanding of data communications and IP Networking

  • Must have a working knowledge of the Digital fires chain and all systems involved

  • Must have a working knowledge of the message protocols to include ASCA, VMF, Link 16 and USMTF

  • Must understand the USMC and Army procurement process

  • Must have the ability to set up end to end digital systems for demonstrations and classes to both developers/contractors, active and reserve Marines

  • Intermediate level skills in Microsoft Office software suite - Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint

  • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees and outside contacts

  • Strong interpersonal skills and good judgment with the ability to work alone or as part of a team

Physical Demands:

• Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds

• Must be able to stand and walk for prolonged amounts of time

• Must be able to twist, bend, and squat periodically
