A Qualified CNA candidate will have a current NYS CNA certification, will be reliable, dependable, shows initiative, be able to read and comprehend assignments, and be able to perform simple math (i.e. weights, intake, output). A high school education or equivalent is preferred. You will need to be able to work independently, get along with others, follow instructions, and accept supervision.

Some of the responsibilities of our CNAs include following instructions listed on the individual resident's assigned care card/care plan and provide any care required. You will also need to provide personal care to the Residents by giving bed baths, tub baths, showers, assisting residents with dressing, oral hygiene, nails, hair care, shaving and documenting actions in real time. When assigned you may need to document observations, record temperature, pulse, respirations, blood pressure and weight. You may be required to assist the floor kitchen by serving food using meal tickets and assist with clean up as needed. You will need to document and give a report to LPN/RN concerning changes in condition of assigned residents for immediate follow up. You will also need to perform routine safety rounds and final rounds 15-30 minutes prior to the end of shift to make sure residents are safe and their rooms are in order.
