This role requires experience of taking business questions and requests, understanding how that relates to data, and delivering an engaging data story back to the business – while being creative using different visualization tools available to you. Additionally, this role will facilitate a consistent “look-and-feel” across the multiple products working directly with software developers, business and IT managers, and end-users as part of an integrated product development team throughout the software development cycle.
· Primaryduties may include, but are not limited to:
Gathering and evaluating user requirements, in collaborationwith product managers and engineers
Designing user experiences for new and existing web-basedapplications
Designing user-friendly solutions for complex workflows
Designing high-fidelity mockups
Creating design artifacts, workflow diagrams, low-fidelitymockups, wireframes, static and functional prototypes that supplement thehigh-fidelity mockups
Conduct competitive analyses of other websites that operatein the same space
Coordinate with UI design team on issues like navigation,page routing, product page design and more
Conduct usability tests on the website and create a reportshowcasing your findings
Requires an BA/BS degree in Computer Science, Computer Design, related field or technical institute training; 15 or more years related experience; experience on one or more platforms, expert level experience four or more BI applications; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.
Expert knowledge of data visualizations, dashboard designand market leading best practices.
Ability to effectively communicate information throughfocused story driven analytics that provide users with critical informationwith little guidance.
Expert knowledge of design products, including InDesign andIllustrator, Sketch, or equivalents.
Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
Demonstrated ability to work iteratively with customers togather and document user experience requirements.
Highly self-motivated individual with the ability to workeffectively in a collaborative, agile, team-oriented IT environment.
Demonstrated decision-making, analytical and problem-solvingabilities
Experience with DevOps:Git, Source Tree, BitBucket, etc.
