Job Description:

3M is seeking a Customer Service Representative for the U.S. Customer Services teams Business Group located in Woodbury, MN. At 3M, you can apply your talent in bold ways that matter. Here, you go.

Job Summary:

The person hired for the position of Customer Service Representative will be highly-engaged and handle varied customer transactions including inbound calls, purchase order management; communicate cross-functionally to research and resolve issues, identify and implement service solutions; continuous improvement efforts; work to enhance knowledge in key service areas; and other duties as assigned.

This position provides an opportunity to transition from other private, public, government or military environments to a 3M career.

Primary Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

  • Act as the primary liaison for 3M and the customer and provide backup support for other areas within their team, including promotional activity

  • Communicate clearly and professionally with 3M personnel by telephone and/or written correspondence

  • Actively manage customer compliance/scorecard metrics through research and fine avoidance initiatives

  • Handle internal and external customer inquiries, claims and complaints; interprets policies and regulations, investigates problems; and communicate with other departments and providers to research and resolve issues, identify and implement service solutions

  • Improve customer satisfaction by identifying patterns of problems and barriers to solutions. Provides insight to resolve problems

  • Participate in and maintain a quality service culture within the Customer Service Team

Basic Qualifications:

  • Possess a Bachelor’s degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution

  • Minimum of two (2) years of combined experience engaging, servicing or selling to customers, clients, and/or a direct experience in a 3M Customer Services role in a private, public, government or military environment

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Possesses exceptional customer service competencies

  • SAP Order Management experience preferred

  • Ability to work in a high volume, rapidly changing environment

  • Enjoys helping and interacting with others in a friendly, courteous manner with continuous attention to customer satisfaction

  • Ability to resolve conflicts effectively and take the initiative to resolve issues before they become problems

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

  • Continuous improvement mindset

  • Prefers to stay busy with a full workload and enjoys meeting challenges

  • Ability to handle work-related stress, handle multiple priorities simultaneously and meet deadlines

  • Strong Excel skill set that includes proficiency with v-lookups, pivot tables, macros and other basic Excel aptitude

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to manage large amounts of data efficiently

  • Ability to work both autonomously and within a high functioning team environment

  • Ability to effectively influence others to drive operational improvements

  • Strong problem-solving skills

Location: Woodbury, MN

Travel: May include up to 10% domestic/international

Relocation: Is not authorized
