As a leader in the aerospace industry, we have a number of exciting positions available right now, including a Manufacturing Supervisor in our Seating New Equipment business located in Winston-Salem, North Carolina.


The Manufacturing Supervisor implements activities in production unit(s) to meet production goals, quality and cost objectives, to include supervision of exempt and nonexempt associates involved in production, assembly, subassembly or fabrication operations; by performing the following duties:


  • Reviews and prioritizes production schedules based on product introduction, efficiency, materials supply and personnel resources; assigns associates to maximize production objectives, maintain quality and attain output requirements. Reports on progress and trends.

  • Informs assigned associates of production and/or material problems and coordinates with support groups to resolve operational problems affecting schedules.

  • Participates in establishing and modifying operational methods and processes by initiating changes in materials, equipment, and procedures.

  • Develops schedules and personnel requirements for assigned areas; maintains a variety of reports, records and production documentation to reflect schedules, performance, methods, and other manufacturing aspects.

  • Works closely with other departments (Inventory Control, Engineering, Programs, Supply Chain, etc) to increase efficiency. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provides direct supervision to exempt and/or nonexempt associates and may provide general supervision to lower-level supervisors.

  • Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's guidelines, procedures and policies plus applicable laws.

  • Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training associates; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining associates; addressing complaints and resolving problems. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  • Associate's degree (A.A.) from two-year College or technical school; and five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Five plus years’ experience working in a manufacturing environment.

  • Knowledge in the metal fabrication, upholstery and paint shop processes.

  • Knowledge in JDE specifically DSI.

  • Experience using SAP a plus.

  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively and positively in a team environment.

  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and work instructions.

  • Familiarity with continuous improvement and willingness to drive process improvements.

  • Solid communication skills utilized to explain issues and suggest solutions.
