Trinity Health Professional Chaplain in Wilmington, Delaware
*This is a per diem role.*
*Provides spiritual and emotional support to patients, families, and staff. Educator and advocate in implementing the ERD’s throughout the hospital environment.*
Works collaboratively to offer spiritual care throughout the continuum:
- Offers spiritual care to patients, families, and staff Participates in interdisciplinary care conferences and family meetings
- Shares responsibility for on-call coverage, when required
Ministers within the referral model
- Responds to referrals within 24 hours of receipt
- Offers follow-up care as appropriate
- Makes referrals to and receives referrals from care givers in other disciplines
- Documents significant pastoral interventions in the patient health record
Shares responsibility for planning/facilitating/
- Participating in prayer and liturgical services
- Shares responsibility for planning/facilitating/participating in:
Morning Prayer
Seasonal and holy day celebrations
Hospital celebrations as needed
Minimum Qualifications_(Education/Experience/Licensure/Certification/Skills)_:
- *Bachelor of Arts degree required, Masters in Theology or related field preferred.*
- *Chaplain certification from NACC/APC or another nationally recognized certifying Board preferred. *
- *Previous experience in healthcare chaplaincy preferred; Spanish language skills helpful.*
