Independent Health Infrastructure Architect-Senior in Williamsville, New York

Independent Health Association, Buffalo, NY seeks Infrastructure Architect Seniors to provide technical architecture oversight and serve in an advisory capacity across multiple projects and strategic initiatives enabling Independent Health to innovate and optimize technology capabilities. Collaborate with developers, infrastructure, solution architecture, operations, and security to implement solutions and identify patterns or opportunities for automation and DevOps. Work closely with Solution (Project) Architects during requirements and solutions analysis phase and with Development teams during solutions design phase to understand application functionality and software products required to support it. Once design has been completed, the Infrastructure Architect-Senior will also assist in the provisioning artifacts required to support the operational teams in building and supporting the solutions they have designed to ensure architectural integrity and compliance, while at the same time working with Operations to continuously improve availability, serviceability, and efficiency of solutions. Troubleshoot performance and connectivity issues for Health Edge claim processing system and its integrated dependencies, provide technical help in solving problems related to HealthEdge Payer technologies and products utilizing VMWare vRealize Operations software and WebLogic Server tools. Enabling and improving business electronic communication by providing end to end wired and wireless connectivity for the applications, devices and technologies over LAN and WAN to include telephone call, email, text message, claim look-up/submission, streaming video, data loads and logical security and encryption within the technologies deployed. Implementing TCP/IP networking with Cisco, Juniper, and Arista switch hardware to optimize network performance for the business. Plan for network segmentation security and internet defenses via utilization of Cisco, CheckPoint and Palo Alto firewalls hardware and built-in/native software. Utilizing currently deployed and future network hardware technologies to plan and submit designs for implementation supporting connectivity, integration and security for Oracle Database, MS SQL Database and Middleware web services technologies. Performing Windows and Linux Server Administration, provide mentoring to IT steady state administrators in operating system administration improvement and operating system security hardening for 1200 servers. Planning for VMWare Virtualization capacity and performance needs by the business, perform assessments for efficient use of computer resources supporting virtualization by utilizing VMWare vSphere and RVTools software. VIPs design for secure web application load balancing of client calls via utilization of hardware network devices by F5 and NetScaler. Planning for connectivity, capacity and security for SAN Technologies to optimize storage capacity, increase performance and improve storage resilience. Planning and creation of Active Directory objects, Active Directory performance troubleshooting and improvements with nine (eight on-prem and one in Azure) Domain Controllers. Provide guidance to IT steady state for certificates lifecycle process improvement in support of SSL/TLS encryption and decryption of data in “flight” and at “rest”, which includes over 2,000 certificates. Complete, maintain, and enhance the Server Build Requirements (SBR) Document, Solution Architecture Design Document (SADD), Firewall Change Request (FCR) document, and the Security By Design (SBD) document, as needed including specific documentation and Visio diagram updates. Requires Bachelor’s (or foreign educ. equiv.) Degree in Electronics Engineering Technology, Computer Science, Internet Technology, MIS or closely related and two (2) yrs. experience in Job Offered or related. Experience must have included; Troubleshoot and help solve problems related to HealthEdge Payer technologies and products; End to end communication for the applications, devices and technologies over LAN and WAN to include telephone call, email, text message, claim look-up/submission, streaming video, data loads and security and encryption within the technologies deployed; Performing TCP/IP networking using Cisco, Juniper, and Arista; Performing Network Security using Cisco, CheckPoint and Palo Alto; Working with connectivity, integration and security for Oracle Database, SQL Database and Middleware Technologies; Performing Windows and Linux Server Administration; Working with Microsoft and VMWare Virtualization; Load Balancing including F5 and NetScaler; SAN Technologies; Active Directory; and Certificate Management for SSL/TLS encryption and decryption and Documentation and Visio diagram updates. $105,000-$155,000/yr.
