The Comcast Cooperative Educational Program (Co-op) immerses students into the daily operations of a contemporary media and technology company while working side-by-side with Comcast's top innovators. Designed for students whose curriculum allows for a cooperative learning track, the co-op becomes an integral part of the Comcast team working on creative, innovative, and thought-provoking projects within various business units. Throughout the experience, there is opportunity for exposure to mentorship and professional development while having some fun along the way.
Comcast Spotlight is the Advertising Sales division of Comcast, and we are excited to welcome a Marketing & Graphic Design Co-op this semester. This individual will become a fully integrated member of the Comcast Spotlight Philadelphia marketing department helping develop, strategize and execute sales marketing campaigns for Local, Regional and National advertisers across our TV and digital media platforms. These marketing campaigns are essential to the sales process and include, but are not limited to, cable programming, promotional proposals, custom commercials, contests & sweepstakes, and pro-social cause marketing initiatives.
Co-op responsibilities include but are not limited to:
-Supporting the Marketing department with sales marketing strategy and campaign execution, proposals, promotional offerings, recaps
-Create and enhance marketing materials, event invites, campaign elements for print, online, mail, e-mail
-Help manage relationships with 50 cable network partners and their programming/promotional assets (ie. HGTV, Bravo, ESPN)
-Event planning and execution
-Assist with promotional tracking and reporting
-Participate in idea brainstorms
-Additional help on relevant marketing projects and initiatives, as assigned
-Regular, consistent and punctual attendance. Must be able to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) and overtime as necessary.
-Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree from a United States-based college or university that has a cooperative learning track
-Available to work 40 hours per week for 6 months starting April 1st, 2019
-Preferred Majors: Communications, Business Administration, Entrepreneurship, Marketing, Digital Media or Graphic Design
-3.2 minimum cumulative GPA preferred
-Graphic design experience is preferred, extensive design experience is not required and through this position, you'll have the opportunity to see your design work come to life, while creating an impressive portfolio.
-Design projects include marketing collateral pieces, event invitations, sales proposals, digital ads, and other projects for external and internal use.
