JOB REQUIREMENTS: Certified Nursing Assistant/Health Unit Coordinator 0.6 FTE, 12 Hour Nights Inpatient Oncology The Certified Nursing Assistant/Health Unit Coordinator on the Inpatient Oncology Unit works under the direction of the Registered Nurse. The Inpatient Oncology Unit provides intermediate level care to patients with hematology/oncology needs. The individual will report directly to the Patient Care Manager of the department and work collaboratively and in partnership with the interdisciplinary team to provide direct patient care in activities of daily living. Populations Served: Adult (18-64), Older Adult (64 + Geriatric). To be successful on this inpatient hospital unit, a passion for caring for cancer patients and working with people is a must. The individual must have excellent communication and organizational skills, have a commitment to patient service and be a strong team player. The candidate must display a positive and upbeat attitude about themselves, work and team. Supports the healthcare team by answering phone, entering unit charges, patient assignments, ordering supplies. Key boarding and computer skills required. Strong customer service skills essential. Performs the duties of a Certified Nursing Assistant in accordance with the State of Wisconsin certification process, WMH policies as well as Nursing Department Policies, in order to maintain clinical excellence, practice professionally, and comply with established policies and standards. Must maintain a patient care environment that is clean and orderly. Assists and supports patients in activities of daily living.
