JOB REQUIREMENTS: Certified Nursing Assistant-5 Medical-0.6FTE PMs Location: Waukesha Shift Type: PMs - 2nd Shift Weekly Hours: 24 We are seeking compassionate and professional nurses to join the medical unit of choice in Southeastern Wisconsin. Consisting of 53 beds, the employees of 5MEDICAL serve a diverse population of patients such as those with respiratory diseases, infectious processes, complications of chronic conditions, gastrointestinal disorders, renal failure, diabetes, alcohol/opiate withdrawal and patients that require medical evaluation before transitioning to other care environments. Our patient management may include telemetry monitoring, continuous medication infusions, wounds, ventilators, tracheostomies, varieties of tubes and drains. 5MEDICAL is focused on the needs of the patient and helping one another to meet those needs. In fact, 5MEDICAL supports more students and nursing programs than any other unit in Waukesha County. We are prepared to meet the needs of our staff and the community we serve. Hours: 0.6FTE PMs 15:00-23:30, Every other weekend, Holiday rotation Full Time / Part Time: Part Time with Benefits FTE: 0.60 The Certified Nursing Assistant on the Medical Unit provides basic patient care working under the direction of the registered nurse per the ANA standards. The primary responsibilities of the C.N.A. in this role include: *Communicate changes in patient situations/conditions that would require notification to the RN. This Performs efficient and effective patient bedside handoffs at shift change using SBAR communication methodologies to communicate patient care activities. *Assists with patient activities as delegated by the RN including activities of daily living (i.e. dressing, ambulating, toileting, eating, grooming, oral care and bathing.) *Follows wound and skin care protocols to prevent skin breakdown and development of pressure ulcers. Observes and reports the presence of pressure areas and skin breakdowns to the RN and assists in carrying out plans to decrease pressure and skin breakdowns such as frequent repositioning. *CA #LI-TG ProHealth Care is an equal opportunity employer and is committed to an inclusive work environment and values the perspectives of our people.
