The Project & Requirements Specialist will support an IT organization and will be responsible to assess the client’s operational, business, and IT needs, and formulate clear business and technology requirements. The role will support a comprehensive IT Governance framework throughout the client’s enterprise. This will include developing and enhancing existing processes that help the organization determine future priorities and capabilities customers need. This role will work closely with the Enterprise Architecture and CTO teams to properly define the functional and technology solutions based on the requirements gathered.

Specific Duties include:

  • Support interviews of stakeholders responsible for various IT/business functional areas during requirements gathering

  • Develop work plans to accomplish assigned tasks and contribute to organizational goals

  • Document business process improvement activities including the improvement recommendation

  • Develop and maintain training materials and job aids as necessary for the New Requirement process

  • Support project teams in analyzing, validating, and verifying business changes; reviewing impact assessment of changes

  • Manage requirements traceability information and track requirements status throughout the project

  • Review project deliverables for completeness and quality, and compliance with established project standards

  • Establish and implement effective requirements practices

  • Conducting analyses of technology, investments, and associated operational processes, with a view to recommending infrastructure designs and strategies that will improve service, lower cost, and reduce vulnerabilities

Basic Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent Military experience

  • 2 or more years Client-facing consulting experience

  • 1 or more years Customer requirements gathering experience

  • 1 or more years experience supporting an IT organization

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Proven understanding of business/functional requirements analysis and verification

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills with clients, technical staff, management, subject matter experts, and supporting team members

  • Expert user of the Microsoft Office Suite, to include Excel, PowerPoint, Project, and Visio

  • Proven ability to work independently and as a team member

  • Desire to add value to the client above and beyond the role

An active security clearance or the ability to obtain one may be required for this role.
