In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring a high level of quality in our payment solution and contributing to our quality processes. You’ll be involved in full product life cycles, working directly with software engineering, product management, as well as our customer support team. Ideal candidates would have an eye for quality, an understanding of quality methodologies, and a variety of SDLC models.

Position Summary & Key Areas of Responsibility

  • Responsible for creation, execution and results reporting of manual test cases for assigned projects within our electronic payment software suite using Visual Studio 2010 or higher

  • Ability to setup required H/W for test environments including Windows PC, Point-of-Sale terminals, printers, fuel pumps/controllers, pin pads, networking (LAN, WAN, connections to payment networks)

  • Business savvy & technical aptitude to follow general instructions and achieve desired results

  • Review business requirements documentation, participate in the test installation cycle and provide input into work plans for assigned projects

  • Participate in defining time estimates to achieve the goals for the assigned test effort within assigned projects

  • Accurate communication and timely escalation of risks to timetables and milestones

  • Complete status reports and participate in departmental and project team meetings

  • Responsible for development of automated tests for future regression of assigned projects/features

  • Responsible for leading a project with a minimum of one contributor assigned

  • Other job related duties as assigned

Basic Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience writing test scripts and performing manual testing

  • Intermediate networking setup/troubleshooting skills on Windows platforms

  • Intermediate knowledge of XML highly desired

  • Able to work both independently and as part of a team

  • Able to follow guidelines/instructions, solid written and verbal communication skills

  • Able to lead a small to medium project to successful completion

  • Able to multi-task

  • Fast learner with the ability to work in fast-paced environment

  • Formal education level: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience in software testing

Preferred Qualifications

  • Retail industry and/or Point-of-Sale product knowledge a plus

  • Electronic payment industry knowledge a plus

  • EMV knowledge a plus

  • Experience with a commercially available test management tool (e.g. Microsoft Test Manager, Quality Center) a plus

  • Automated test development experience a plus
