Cvent, Inc., a leading meetings, events, and hospitality software company, is seeking a Finance and Business Operations Analyst based in our Tysons Corner, VA headquarters. Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, the individual will join a global finance and business operations team and be called on to manage and participate in projects that span the entire finance and business operations function. This role will be integral in assisting the department improve, standardize, and automate inefficiencies amongst its various functions and with departments outside of finance and business operations. This is an important role in a rapidly growing company with visibility to all levels of accounting, financial planning and analysis, tax, procurement, real estate and business operations.
While the role will report within the finance and business operations department, there will be significant interaction with the sales, legal, corporate development, and human resources departments to help ensure quick turnaround of essential tasks. The role will require a strong work ethic, a positive and agile attitude, the ability to execute with autonomy and urgency while meeting tight deadlines, attention to detail, ability to interface with C-Suite executives, teamwork, and strong multitasking skills to be able to move and track multiple projects to completion.
What You Will Be Doing
Provide analytical support for all aspects of the finance and business operations function
Establish, monitor, and report on operational KPI and analytical reports aimed at providing useful metrics for the finance and business operations department
Continuously monitor reporting effectiveness, evolve existing reports, develop new reports as needed, and identify opportunities to automate and gain efficiencies in data collection and reporting
Support project management of annual financial audit, tax compliance calendar, and other projects such as acquisition integration and international expansion
Work jointly with the legal department to ensure financial, accounting, and tax compliance as part of the Cvent International Entity Management Compliance Program
Develop and maintain cross-divisional relationships with key business partners to maximize team's effectiveness
Maintain the department’s monthly newsletter and quarterly town hall presentation
Craft impactful and engaging presentations to be used at VP/executive leader level
What You Need for this Position
Bachelor’s degree; finance, accounting, or related field preferred
0 to 2 years of experience in a finance-related or operational role
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and proficient with Microsoft Word and PowerPoint
Working knowledge of financial concepts preferred, including accounting concepts, private equity, and debt
Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality
