What You’ll Get to Do:
The Construction Sales Manager (CSM) reports to the Nat. Sales Manager and is responsible for managing the Construction Sales Representatives as well as the National Construction Sales Representative. The CSM will be responsible for their team driving high value sales and share growth with major builder, developers, hospitality, building supply and offsite building manufacturer accounts while meeting established sales goals. The CSM will motivate and instruct their team on how to create and execute strategic sales plans for increasing market share and developing strong relationships with key decision makers
Manage the Construction Sales Representatives: Manage the Regional Construction Sales Representatives to initiate and maintain relationships with key builders, hospitality and building supply accounts. Establish a winning attitude and insure that all metrics, including sales goals for the team, are met and exceeded. The CSM is additionally responsible for managing the National Construction Sales Representative. Document progress and maintain updated sales reports in Sales Force as required. Work with each CSR in the field quarterly. Skilled mentoring and providing leadership, fostering a team-oriented environment.
Mastery: Demonstrate a thorough understanding of all Panasonic products, features, functions, and benefits to be able to train team for product recommendations and solutions. Establishment of competencies for strategic, consultative and tactical selling. Act in the capacity as a mentor for your team.
Planning: Work with key PESNA stakeholders and Regional Channel Sales Managers to create and implement a sales strategy to grow market share in the U.S. Recognize and develop opportunities for customers that fit the COSMOS profile as well as help develop new sales channel opportunities.
Scope : Budget, employees direct and indirect and other resources managed.
Reports to the National Sales Manager.
Maintain sales expenses within budget.
What You’ll Bring:
Education & Experience:
BS/BA Degree in Business, Engineering, or Architecture. Equivalent technical sales experience acceptable
3-5+ years relevant experience in managing direct sales reports in the residential / multifamily construction products industry
Technical or hands-on background in the HVAC and Plumbing fields highly desirable.
Proven sales leadership skills which include creating and executing detailed sales plans and achieving or exceeding sales and profitability goals
Able to articulate company vision and motivate a mfg. direct sales team
Possess insight into trends that affect the industry and adapt to continue to offer solutions that meets and exceeds customers’ needs
Able to prioritize and execute the companies most pressing sales initiatives.
Understand HVAC best practices and be able to demonstrate proper application of company’s products and our part in promoting good indoor air quality (IAQ).
Highly competent in use of a personal computer particularly MS Office with ability to acquire new skills with corporate business systems. Able to utilize CRM program for lead generation and disbursement and tracking
Must possess strong presentation skills and be able to communicate professionally in written responses to emails in a timely manner,
Conduct regularly scheduled sales and training meetings.
Ability to train and instill passion their team, using all sales tools available
Demonstrate thorough knowledge of English both written and verbally. Spanish competency is desired.
Carry sample product onto building construction sites, and demonstrate and deliver samples to KDM’s
Remote position candidate MUST be located near a major airport.
Able to carry 40lbs load by self
