Essilor of America Brand Marketing Manager in Singapore

We are looking for an experienced brand marketing manager to lead the development and implementation of all marketing related initiatives such as product launches, media planning & execution, consumer marketing programs, competitive analysis/defense plan, and business performance tracking. In addition, the brand marketing manager will provide marketing capability support to global teams and multiple strategic partners in Asia-Pacific, Greater India, Middle East, Turkey, Russia and Africa.

Innovation / Product management

  • You will be the lead point of contact for exchange of branded innovations and product development with Essilor and its Partners. You will be required to gain in depth understanding of markets’ and consumers’ needs in the region for future product/innovation development with R&D and global marketing counterparts.

  • You will also be the lead marketing contact for one of the key innovation roadmaps and assist in the generation of new ideas to further feed the innovation pipeline and stage gate process and also provide marketing support to the overall roadmap team and respective stage gate project leaders. .

  • Managing the entire product life cycle from strategic planning to tactical activities, including product sourcing (working with technical & logistics teams). Since this will be a cross-functional, cross regional role and you will be required to collaborate with multiple internal and external teams to identify and work towards possible opportunities/solutions.

  • Clearly communicate the progress of monthly/quarterly initiatives to internal and external stakeholders

Marketing Mix Development

  • Defining and developing the best product(s) range positioning strategy, pricing recommendation and cost negotiations based on understanding of consumers and customers in the region.

  • Developing and implementing regional marketing programs & go-to-market plan (launch and follow-up plans) by working closely with various departments and stakeholders.

  • Developing product related communication assets and technical information, including point of sales materials, demo tools and selling speech with key stakeholders in the region.

  • Business analysis, portfolio strategy & innovation master plan development for the categories.

  • Competitive analysis and comprehensive initiative tracking at regional level

Media Planning & Execution

  • Responsible to ensure the efficient planning & execution of the Above the Line (ATL) investments with key media partners in AMERA region.

  • Manage, track & analyze effectiveness of past and current media, digital & communication campaigns for optimization.

  • Oversee and champion digital & social across key markets in AMERA

  • Lead content development for the media plans, website & social media

Skills required

  • Degree in Marketing with >7 years’ experience in Product & Consumer Marketing with at least one significant experience in B2C environment (FMCG, F&B, OTC…). Experience in upstream marketing strategy, innovation ideation, concept communications development is advantageous.

  • Cross-functional project management and external stakeholder management experience is needed. Familiar with Stage Gate Process under Project Management. Excellent organizational skills and proven record in concurrently managing multiple projects well.

  • Excellent teamwork skills, proven ability to influence cross-functional teams without formal authority, used to work in multi-cultural environment Strong analytical skills and ability to execute with excellence

  • At ease with technical topics (scientific background or previous experience in medical devices / technical fields is an advantage). Able to translate technical product performance into consumer-friendly communication.

  • Embark on business travel in correspond to the needs and responsibilities of the role. Estimated travel required is 10%, however varies with the needs of each assignment.

  • Experience in leading a team is preferred.

  • Responsible for one’s development plan, with support from management.
