Description
The Automation Engineer 2 identifies and implements solutions (hardware and software) for improvement of the high-quality automation infrastructure. The Automation Engineer 2 work assignments are varied and frequently require interpretation and independent determination of the appropriate courses of action.
Responsibilities
The Automation Engineer 2 designs, programs, simulates, and tests automated processes, and is responsible for detailed design specifications and other documents. Understands department, segment, and organizational strategy and operating objectives, including their linkages to related areas. Makes decisions regarding own work methods, occasionally in ambiguous situations, and requires minimal direction and receives guidance where needed. Follows established guidelines/procedures.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree
3-5 years of Java background
Good understanding of OOP principles
Webservices: REST/SOAP
Understanding and experience in SQL
Knowledge of XML, HTML, XLS, XPATH, JavaScript
Experience with Tomcat or other application servers
Experience with testing automated processes and responsibility for detailed design specifications and other documents
Some experience with white-box, web-service integration and server back-end testing
Good communication skills, analytical and problem solving skills
Preferred Qualifications
Master's Degree in Computer Science or related field
1.5 or more years of WorkFusion development experience
Proficient DevOps Skills and mind-set
Working experience of GiT version control
Troubleshooting, performance tuning and root cause analysis
Ability to effectively collaborate among a geographically dispersed team
Hands on Maven: Scoping, Versioning, multi-module builds and dependency management
Solid background in machine learning concepts and probability theory
