Humana Senior Business Intelligence Professional - Enterprise Risk in Tulsa, Oklahoma
The Enterprise Risk and Compliance (ERC) organization sets direction and establishes policy in the areas of enterprise risk management and compliance. It also builds risk strategy and culture to assist the organization in managing risk appropriately. ERC serves as a second line of defense in overseeing key business risks and plays a key role in establishing a consistent definition of risk across the enterprise to drive connections and collaboration throughout the business and ensure timely, proactive discovery and faster mitigation of risks and their causes.
As a Senior Business Intelligence Professional working for the ERC Reporting and Analytics team, you will be responsible for creating risk-related reporting and applying analytical techniques to risk-related data and opportunities. The ideal candidate will demonstrate competency in metric analysis and definition, dashboard design and execution, and systems thinking. You will be a self-starter who can work in a rapidly changing environment, will tolerate ambiguity and will demonstrate critical thinking and program leadership with limited oversight. You will work cross-functionally, with an ability to influence while demonstrating maturity and objectiveness.
Key responsibilities include:
Partner with Enterprise Risk and Compliance leaders and teams to build out enterprise risk reporting and analytics
Identification and collection of data for Key Risk Indicators (KRIs) this includes the consultation with business teams to understand current processes, risk areas, and measurement
Design and maintenance of BI dashboards using various BI Tools
Consulting with business and compliance teams to define impactful metrics and complete root cause analysis for identified opportunities and issues
Bachelor’s Degree or extensive work experience
Analytical mindset, with attention to detail
Experience with data visualization and BI Tools(s), e.g., Power BI, Qlik, Tableau
Ability to understand business needs and translate to BI solutions
Experience in data mining and writing ad-hoc SQL queries a must, exposure to or experience in SQL development (PL/SQL, T-SQL).
Competence to troubleshoot and test reporting solutions from back to front end
Systems thinking mindset, to understand implications of a decision across the entire enterprise
Strong organization skills, and proven track record or large initiative support
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Broad understanding of our businesses and connectedness to key Humana constituent areas
Strong knowledge of database and business intelligence concepts
Enterprise thinking, and strategic perspective
Problem-solving and project management skills
Demonstrated ability to present to senior-level executives
Knowledge of Humana’s internal policies, procedures and systems
