Spirit AeroSystems Maintenance Mechanic A in Tulsa, Oklahoma

In this role, the ideal candidate will maintain and repair various machines, to include hydraulics, gears, and gantry systems throughout the manufacturing facility. He/She will have a strong mechanical aptitude, and ability to problem solve.You will utilize various tools, equipment, and diagrams to diagnose, repair, and maintain equipment throughout the facility.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret mechanical diagrams, specifications, and planning documents to determine the method and sequence required for maintenance operations.• Perform machine periodical maintenance.• Maintain various machines, air/steam systems, air conditioning and refrigeration units and plant plumbing.• Locate and install pipe, valves, vents, and equipment.• Ability to use dial indicators to diagnose and repair machine malfunctions.• Operate systems and regulate equipment to maintain proper temperatures and humidity.• Install, connect, and test plumbing throughout the facility.• Record maintenance and repair data manually or with the aid of a computer or computer-based system.• Move and/or obtain correct parts, materials, and tools.• Train, coach, and/or assist fellow employees as required by the company.• Report job handicaps such as: errors in parts, procedures, tools, and sequences.

Qualifications

Requirements• Experience within a maintenance and/or mechanical field• Successful completion of a skills demonstration• Must pass the WorkKeys Assessment• Has the ability to work any shift• Ability to work overtime, as neededPreferred• Experience in aerospace maintenance.• Is a strong problem solver who is self-motivated.
