Munson Healthcare Registered Nurse C1-R Inpatient Rehabilitation in Traverse City, Michigan

Inpatient Rehabilitation Services are growing in Traverse City! In January of this year, Mary Free Bed and Munson Medical Center joined in a partnership which will expand our Rehabilitation department with plans to develop a new rehabilitation hospital in the near future!

Unit Summary

Post-acute inpatient rehabilitation serves individuals who have sustained life changing injuries or disease process, such as stroke, brain injury, amputation, spinal cord injury, and other debilitating conditions. Together as a rehab team, we strive for successful patient outcomes and celebrate the amazing stories of recovery. With an average patient stay being two weeks, we feel fortunate to share the recovery journey with them, and embrace our active role in it. Our focus is on helping patients achieve their functional goals, as they are the center of all we do.

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Michigan.

For those hired into an RN position after January 1st, 2015, it is required to obtain a BSN within 5 years of start date

Experience in the clinical area in which application has been made is desirable.

Is a self-directed professional with the ability to make independent judgments directing patient care.

Demonstrates ability in using the computer with Windows format preferred.

ORGANIZATION

Accountable to the Unit Manager or designee of the assigned patient care unit; ultimately accountable for the practice of nursing to the Vice President, Patient Care Services.

Provides direction to and supervision of LPNs, Techs, Clerks, Nursing Assistants, and/or other categories as needed.

Works collaboratively and effectively with all members of the Patient Care Team.

Age of Patients Served is dependent on the specific populations cared for on the Unit.
