Description

Reporting to the Director of Supply Chain Program Management, the Master Data Manager is responsible for data maintenance and process improvements that promote data integrity, quality and governance within the organization. This role requires a strong focus on problem solving, collaboration and appreciation of best practice in data management and application within the Finance, Procurement and Sales/Operations teams.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage master data integrity as well as maintaining the processes to support the data quality

  • Oversee monthly process to collect data from direct suppliers and distributor partners, assignment of key attributes and error checking with a keen focus on accuracy and timeliness that is required from the business

  • Leverage tools and resources from the entire enterprise to ensure Aramark Canada is leveraging best practices available within the organization

  • Conduct data cleaning to improve quality, unused or duplicate data with a goal of providing the business with the ability to better access data for reporting, finance and operational functions

  • Proactively assess instances of data quality issues and help to resolve problems through the appropriate choice of error detection and correction

  • Develop projects to address data issues along with recommendations for ownership, documentation of requirements, definition of scope and objectives and management of prioritization of work

  • Provide oversight of system upgrades/enhancements and ensure alignment with internal and external teams

  • Create, own and implement data strategy, policies and controls, to ensure the enterprise data is accurate, complete and reliable

  • Identify, analyze, report / resolve data issues related to uniqueness, integrity, accuracy, consistency and completeness to support business reporting requirements. Develop reporting metrics to measure attainment of data quality goals

  • Analyze and resolve data initiative issues and manage changes needed to best meet internal requirements while adhering to data standards

  • Assist in data management, governance and quality of master data requirements with other stakeholders to ensure functional master data integrity is consistent and meets business requirements

  • Coach and develop direct reports to build competency, drive performance and maintain engagement

  • Partner with cross-functional teams and build relationships to collaborate on projects and drive business changes

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree – Information or Data Management, Computer Science or related field preferred

  • 5 years’ experience in Data Management - data collection, manipulation, improvement and analysis

  • Demonstrated cross-functional knowledge of master data usage within an organization

  • Experience in data administration, design, and architecture

  • Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Access, Word etc.)

  • A proven record of continued and sustainable success and increased responsibility
