Job Overview


The FCA Quality organization is currently seeking a Certification Line Unit Leader at the Toledo Assembly Complex- Gladiator. This position offers the selected candidate an opportunity to be an integral part of a company whose focus is to change the automotive landscape. The Certification Line Unit Leader will manage the certification line quality verification stations and is the focal point of contact for all certification line quality issues, ensuring a shift to shift consistency, and utilizing the data to drive issues to closure utilizing the World Class Manufacturing methodologies. The Certification Line Unit Leader must be a creative problem solver, proactive and steadfast in the identification and resolution of vehicle quality issues.

Job responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Supervise certification line quality verification personnel

  • Responsible for tracking and reporting quality concerns identified

  • Assist in root cause, containment and corrective actions for all quality related issues in the manufacturing facility

  • Training of newly and re-assigned personnel

  • Management of time sheet and payroll management of all bargaining unit employees

  • Hands-on training and coaching salary and bargaining unit employees on the World Class Manufacturing methodologies

  • Establish partnerships both internally and externally and to influence without direct authority

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree

  • Manufacturing experience

  • Ability to analyze and translate data for reporting purposes into visual charts/graphs, etc.

  • Demonstrated use of problem solving skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Two years of quality experience

  • Supervisory experience

  • Knowledge of engineering specs, standards, and build objectives
