Job Summary

The billing team lead will play a critical role in the operations of Atlas Oil and will lead a team of billing associates while reporting directly to the VP of Business Transformation. This highly visible role will also play a significant part in the Order to Cash process. Atlas is investing heavily in technology and automation across the company including the back-office billing operations. The Billing lead will play a large role in identifying opportunities to re-engineer processes while leveraging technology to increase the timeliness and accuracy of customer invoicing.

  • Oversee and participate in project to document and maintain policies and standard operating procedures for established and new billing controls and processes.

  • Ability to recognize business impact resulting from billing issues that arise, quickly resolve those issues, and take necessary measures to prevent them in the future.

  • Ensure that adequate controls are in place to mitigate risk to the business and billing best practices are incorporated into all aspects of billing.

Required Experience

  • 7+ years’ experience in building, leading, and growing high performing teams.

  • Back office experience, billing, AR/AP, etc. strongly preferred.

  • Oil and Gas and/or transportation industry experience a plus but not required.

  • Demonstrated experience with Microsoft Office Products (Excel, Word, Powerpoint, Visio)

  • Strong analytical reasoning and problem-solving skills

  • Experience with back office systems, SAP, Oracle, JD Edwards, Great Plains or similar systems.

  • Strong customer service orientation as demonstrated in previous relevant roles

  • Must be able to learn the corporation’s business and organization, its customers and vendors

  • Quick learner; ability to quickly adapt to changing environment

  • Strong ability to multi-task and prioritize; detail oriented

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
