Physical Therapy Assistant - Physical Therapy 001 - Full-Time,Rotating - Harbor Ctr - Tawas City,MI
Outpatient: Monday-Friday hours varies according to volume.Will cover Oscoda Health Park and/or Tawas Harbor Health Center.Includes acute care coverage in Tawas
Will have weekend and holiday rotations to cover acute care.
What You Will Do
As an Associate with AscensionSt. Joseph Health, you will have the opportunity to conduct medically prescribed physical therapy under the supervision of a physical therapist.
Provides physical therapy interventions under a plan of care written by a physical therapist.
Performs therapy interventions utilizing techniques and skills as appropriate for the patient population.
Documents treatment interventions given.
May coordinate activities of physical therapy aides, students and other support personnel.
Responsible for following regulatory guidelines and clinical practice documentation in Michigan and department polices and procedures.
Responsible for maintaining patients charts as per facility expectations and maintaining privacy and confidentiality of patients and treatments.
Assists the therapist in updating treatment programs and helps with the formulation of progress notes and progress letters.
Responsible for maintaining the gym and equipment in a safe manner and to report any equipment malfunctions to the supervisor
What You Will Need
BLS Providercredentialed from theAmerican Heart Association (AHA)obtained within1 Month (30 days)of hire date or job transfer date.
LicensedRehab Therapistspecializing inPhysical Therapy Asstcredentialed from theMichigan Board of Physical Therapyobtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
- 2 Year College Degree
Graduate of an accredited college offering degree program in Physical Therapist Assistant and One year of previous experience preferred.
