PERMABILT INDUSTRIES Construction Manager in Tacoma, Washington

THIS POSITION IS LOCATED IN LYNNWOOD, WA Responsibilities As Construction Superintendent you will be working closely with the construction crews, foremen, subcontractors, and department managers. This is NOT a 9-5 position and may require early mornings, late nights, and/or some weekend work. Responsibilities will include overseeing all jobs, ensuring the work is being done properly and in a timely manner, ensuring production is cost effective, within budget, and performance measures, planned efficiencies, and LEAN initiatives are met or exceeded through change management processes and best practices. The main focus of the Construction Superintendent is our crews and production. You will need to ensure that the crews are completing jobs on schedule and within budget, the work is being done safely, according to plans, within code, and the crews are ready for new jobs on schedule. The Superintendent will be responsible for hiring, managing, training, and motivating all construction personnel. The Construction Superintendent must also be skilled in customer service, being able to answer customer questions in person or via phone/email it a polite manner. Other responsibilities include: Ensure all company policies and procedures are understood and followed by your staff. Coordinate safety inspections of all crews to ensure a safe working environment to eliminate/minimize job site injuries. Reviewing job packets for any errors or potential issues and plan accordingly Customer service as required Other duties as assigned Requirements Extensive knowledge and experience in manufacturing or construction related logistics and production processes. Demonstrated leadership skills Knowledge of OSHA rules and regulations Experience in planning and implementation Excellent customer relation skills, to include internal and external customers via in-person, phone, or electronic correspondence. Proven ability to manage multiple concurrent projects Experience hiring and managing multiple construction crews. Excellent communication skills Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
