SUNY Upstate Medical University Visiting Student Coordinator in Syracuse, New York

The Visiting Student Coordinator manages all aspects of the visiting student program at Upstate, including accepting students from other medical schools and verifying Upstate students' eligibility for electives at other medical schools in compliance with national LCME standards. Is responsible for maintenance of students' academic records, with primary responsibility for College of Medicine students. This includes student registration, processing grades and grade changes, and maintaining the schedule of classes. Maintains the electronic enrollment and degree records of all students with the National Student Clearinghouse and resolves any discrepancy or missing data for verification purposes. Works closely with the Dean of Students' Office in the residency application process. Monitors, reviews, and responds to all Registrar-related electronic correspondence and assist with campus wide programs as needed. Bachelor's degree and one year of related experience or an Assoiciate's degree and three years of relevant experience required. Must be able to work independently, set priorities, multi-task and possess excellent organizational as well as written and verbal communication skills. Prior experience working with student populations or coordinating programs in a higher education setting preferred.
