Lockheed Martin Capture Manager, MCS Sustainment in Stratford, Connecticut

Description: Rotary and Mission Systems (“RMS”) is a diverse multi-national business that develops and manufactures an extensive array of platforms, mission systems, training and logistics products, and radar systems.

The Senior Capture Manager – MCS Aftermarket Business is responsible for all phases of business capture execution from customer interface, leadership reporting, capture planning, proposals, negotiations support (with Contracts & Finance), contract award and transition to the execution teams. Specific activities in the near term that are part of the portfolio of responsibility include CH-53K sustainment and training, and emerging capability enhancements; CH-53E spares and sustainment efforts and new activities in a multi-phase PBL growth strategy; in-service VH-3D and VH-60N SPAR and SLEP and field sustainment efforts; the VH-92A LRIP effort and VH-92A product support elements and PBL growth; DLA long-term contract expansions, MCS sustainment analytics support programs and related capability improvements. In particular, this position will leverage lessons learned and contracting strategies from legacy platforms (i.e. 53E PBL, DLA holistic, SPAR sustaining) to new programs such as the CH-53K and VH-92A. Responsibilities also include developing, reporting and managing resources (both personnel and financial) to meet business requirements, specifically including B&P, Market Assist, SIOP and Orders planning in conjunction with Business Development. This position must be intricately linked to finance, programs and contracts, among others, to ensure an aligned approach to all capture activities.

This position will regularly interface with USG customers, including but not limited to NAVAIR, NAVSUP and DLA. Alignment with standard procedures and enterprise business practices to ensure compliance and in support of DCMA assessments is also required.

This position is intended to be a leadership position within the MCS market segment and to provide support and leadership, with other market segment leaders, to enable overall business success. Besides capture responsibilities, the Senior Capture Manager will be responsible for coordinating subordinate employee recruitment, selection and training, performance assessment, work assignments, salary, and recognition/disciplinary actions. The director establishes milestones and monitors adherence to master plans and schedules, identifies program problems and obtains solutions, such as allocation of resources or changing contractual specifications. Directs the work of employees assigned to the program from technical, manufacturing and administrative areas.

Experienced professional with a minimum of seven (7) years of Program/Project Management experience.

Experience working through USG proposal and execution efforts, including FMS cases.

Demonstrated ability to guide, direct and impact the business, balance challenges associated with development programs execution, customer obligations, and meeting all business commitments.

Demonstrated ability to deliver results through development of effective relationships and leadership of a highly skilled, diverse workforce.

The ability to think and act strategically and tactically from a broad

business perspective.

Strong negotiation and conflict management skills.

The ability to establish priorities, handle multiple tasks simultaneously

and bring matters/issues to successful closure, all in the midst of

changing priorities.

A thorough understanding of financial/business analysis, government

contracts, technology/business planning.

Basic Qualifications:

Excellent oral, written, communications and organizational skills.

Strong business acumen and an understanding for how programs support overall business strategy. Demonstrated ability for decision making in uncertain environments.

Refresh and further imbed Full Spectrum Leadership through focus on both performance results and behaviors.

Adept at working with matrix organizations for executing and proposing programs.
