The Behavioral Health Clinician III is responsible to provide quality counseling, case management and community support services to clients with mental health conditions, substance use disorders, and/or co-occurring disorders at Pioneer Human Services (PHS) using evidence-based and promising practices, effectively meeting the need of PHS's clientele; and documenting treatment and case management service provision in a timely and effective manner. POSITION DUTIES & TASKS Behavioral Health Service Delivery Provides evidence-based and /or promising mental health and/or substance use disorder services and psychosocial interventions through counseling, problem-solving and case management services in accordance with department policy based upon identified treatment needs specified in the client's Individual Service Plan. Diagnoses substance use disorder and/or mental health conditions in accordance with the most recently published Diagnostic and Statistical Manual (e.g. DSM-5) and ASAM requirements. Complies with documentation and filing requirements according to WAC, agency and funder policies. Maintains complete and accurate documentation of all activities (including, but not limited to: case files and records, progress notes, case plans, reports, case summaries and billing information) on a professional, self-directed basis. Develops and maintains working knowledge of community resources. Interacts and builds collaborative relationships with community partners, as needed, in support of treatment. Integrates knowledge by thinking through and implementing the most professional, therapeutic reaction or intervention in any given client care situation. Promotes and models teamwork and collaboration with coworkers. Engages in clear, consistent, and professional communication with all residents, program staff, service providers and community members. Quality Assurance Maintains quality of care consistent with or exceeding standards set by State of Washington regulations and any other accrediting and/or contracting bodies with whom Pioneer Human Services does business. Adheres to professional and ethical standards for Mental Health professional organizations and/or Chemical Dependency Professionals Provides professionally written documentation and correspondence. Training & Supervision Participates in Clinical supervision in accordance with WAC/RCW requirements. Participates in agency supervision. Obtains other training required by WAC and in accordance with an annual training plan. Participates in staff meetings. Attends other meetings as directed. Provide clinical supervision to Peer Support under WAC 388-877A-0340. Perform Other Duties as Required WORKING CONDITIONS Work Setting, including hazards: Work is performed almost exclusively indoors in an office environment, residential or inpatient setting, or jail setting depending upon assignment. Exposure to hazards is limited to those commonly found in these various environments. Schedule (i.e. hours and days): Standard business hours are Monday - Friday, from 9 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. This is a part-time position and work will be done within these hours with variability. Travel Requirements: Some travel is required, and is typically local or regional, to meet with clients, conduct business, or attend or provide training. Therefore, the incumbent is expected to independently travel to off-site meetings as needed. Must have a valid driver's license and auto insurance if operating a personal or company vehicle on PHS business. Tools & Equipm
