The Human Resources team is searching for ambitious personnel to join their everyday mission to discover, hire, and retain great talent. These personnel are the conduit for positive employee relations, performance management, and focal point for benefits/compensation. The primary focus of the Talent Acquisition (TA) Specialist – Operations is to attract and hire a qualified pool of talent for hourly operations and maintenance positions within our manufacturing plants. On some occasions, the TA Specialist will also recruit for front line supervisory positions, manufacturing and distribution facility management positions and corporate positions. The incumbent will use innovative approaches to market, recruit and hire talent for multiple plants within a predetermined geographic area. This position works closely with local plant HR Managers to understand workforce needs and to develop an approach to filling the pipeline with qualified individuals from diverse candidate pools.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with plant HR managers to fill vacant positions at multiple plants within a geographic area with innovative recruiting strategies.

  • Identify and screen high caliber candidates that match our job qualifications and experience requirements.

  • Office out of plant(s) environment and spend time understanding the various positions we typically hire to improve hiring fit and reduce turnover.

  • Provide recruitment counsel and guidance to hiring managers and Operations professionals to hire and retain talent.

  • Well-developed knowledge of all full life-cycle recruiting components to include, but not limited to, sourcing, qualifying, networking, assessing, legal, job analysis and due diligence.

  • Assists in oversight and maintenance of affirmative action data to ensure compliance in all recruitment, promotions, and transfer processes.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited four-year college/university and 2+ years of Talent Acquisition experience, required.

  • Knowledge and past use of a server-based applicant tracking system.

  • Fundamental interviewing skills experience required.

  • Knowledge of Federal, State, and employment regulations and policies.

  • Proficient in Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.

  • Strong initiative and solid judgment.

  • Strong interpersonal skills; ability to build relationships both within and outside the organization.

  • Strong multi-tasking and organizational skills.

  • Must possess a high level of professionalism, discretion and ability to self-manage his/her time from remote locations.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Travel up to 70% to conduct regional HR recruiting events or work temporarily in another location to meet company hiring needs. Periodic overnight travel required.

  • Ability to work well with others in fast paced, dynamic environment.

  • Ability to be respectful, approachable and team oriented while building strong working relationships and a positive work environment.

The majority of the time is spent in an office setting outside of the production plant. The plant environment will include wet or humid conditions (non-weather related), extreme cold and heat (non-weather related), working near moving mechanical parts, exposure to fumes or airborne particles, and chemicals.
