Philips Senior Strategy Manager in Shanghai, China


In this role, you have the opportunity to

Under the leadership of head of Strategy and Business Development, PH Greater China, this position, as a member of cross-business strategy resources, will work primarily with business colleagues to develop and implement strategies for a set of priority growth initiatives.

Provided with outstanding performance, the successful candidate is expected to step into a business line role in three years.

You are responsible for

  • Owning and driving strategy development together with business leaders, conducting high-quality analysis and formulating actionable recommendation

  • Champion, on the behalf of the management team, implementation of priority growth initiatives in Greater China

  • Develop new business opportunities, including organic and inorganic, by working with various business units and Innovation/Development resources

  • Together with other Business Development resources, support relevant business in China in overall strategy development and deployment

  • Establish appropriate external connections to conduct industry / market benchmark to generate outside-in perspective for strategy formulation and implementation

  • Participate in and contribute to country-base company strategy development

To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience

  • Solid experience and abilities to integrate market insights, competition intelligence and other business issues into a cohesive vision for growth, and link this vision into a series of initiatives and priorities that are logical and compelling.

  • A proven track record of creating and articulating strategy by strategically assessing market opportunities and analytically identifying key drivers as well as developing key initiatives to propel a business to the next level. Ideally, there should be previous examples of creating a breakthrough strategy.

  • Extensive working experiences (i.e. marketing, product management, business management, strategy, business development, etc.) in relevant industries a must, such as consumer goods and retail, E-commerce, etc.

  • Solid knowledge on Personal Health products and solutions is highly appreciated.

  • Hands-on experience in M&A transactions is a plus.

  • Strong communication skills, in written and verbal, in English and Chinese.
