The AWS Infrastructure Global Expansion (IGE) finance team partners with the business teams to expand AWS's data center footprint into new regions, develop ongoing data center supply strategy in existing regions, and procure associated network data transfer capacity. In this role, you will provide FP&A (Financial Planning & Analysis) support for the IGE team and will effectively be the right hand person for the IGE Finance Director. You will: * Coordinate the land, shell, and utility infrastructure teams to ensure integrity of business and financial plans * Provide visibility to broader new region actuals vs. budget tracking drivers across land, shell construction, utilities, network equipment, server equipment, and opex * Partner with broader AWS Infrastructure FP&A teams to communicate business drivers and variances in a holistic manner * Manage Opex and headcount tracking and reporting for the IGE organization * Serve as primary finance partner for the Community Relations team, partnering with the team to measure and maximize return on investments as well as monitoring spend vs. budget * Provide holistic view of performance for the IGE organization, including areas where there are matrixed levels of support Basic QualificationsBasic Qualifications * Bachelors degree in finance, accounting, business or related field * 5+ years of experience in a finance role * Highly organized with strong written and verbal communication skills and a customer focused, professional demeanor * Ability to work independently, partner cross-functionally, and be self-motivated in a fast-paced and rapidly changing technology environment * Advanced modeling skills including advanced Excel skills * Proven ability to meet tight deadlines and prioritize workload * A work ethic based on a strong desire to exceed expectations * Ability to dissent, while building trust with your business partners * Solid business judgment and controllership focus Preferred QualificationsPreferred Qualifications * MBA or similar degree is preferred * Highly organized with strong written and verbal communication skills and a customer focused, professional demeanor * Ability to work independently, partner cross-functionally, and be self-motivated in a fast-paced and rapidly changing technology environment * Advanced modeling skills including advanced Excel skills * Proven ability to meet tight deadlines and prioritize workload * A work ethic based on a strong desire to exceed expectations * Ability to dissent, while building trust with your business partners * Solid business judgment and controllership focus * Familiarity with financial systems such a Cognos TM1 preferred Amazon is an Equal Opportunity-Affirmative Action Employer – Minority / Female / Disability / Veteran / Gender Identity / Sexual Orientation
