The Powerplant onsite Program Manager will provide program oversight from a commercial, reliability and technical standpoint for all Powerplant related shop visits. The Program Manager will ensure that all powerplant commodities are inducted into the repair process on time and will also ensure reliability initiatives and service bulletins are accomplished in accordance with Amazon's expectations. The Program Manager will audit all financial quotes to ensure actual work performed is in line with expected expense and challenge as necessary. The Program Manager will assist with shop visit forecasting and parts sourcing to keep costs within budget expectations while also coordinating workscopes with Amazon's air carrier partners and the contracted MROs. Driving consistent performance with metrics, improving processes and contract oversite of five or more MRO's located in the U.S., Brazil, and Europe will be a key responsibility of this role. Responsibilities On-site oversite of Amazon Air powerplant program Manage contractual terms and conditions for engines, APU's and thrust reversers from an on-site perspective Evaluate and manage engine, APU, and thrust reverser workscoping with carrier and MRO's Forecast heavy maintenance shop visits and coordinate slot requirements with heavy maintenance MRO's Continuously evaluate spares needs for fleet additions and existing fleet to ensure accuracy in a dynamic environment. Forecast leasing needs according to MRO and carrier performance Responsible for accurate budget input/analysis for powerplant commodities Evaluate quotes and invoices for powerplant heavy maintenance events Drive turn time performance process improvements at MRO's Assist with market analysis regarding industry trends that affect shop visit cost Continuously create and/or modify strategic outlook for powerplant maintenance Challenge technical workscopes/pricing in order to optimize maintenance cost throughout the lease term by comparing leasing and/or purchasing assets to avoid shop visits if cost is out of normal range Parts sourcing for high value parts to ensure availability and best in industry pricing Assist Tech Ops and Procurement with data for future RFP activities pertaining to powerplant maintenance Support AIR from an on-site commercial and technical position for all powerplant related requirements Assist the Powerplant Program leader in building a powerplant team to manage heavy maintenance events for multiple fleet types. Operations back up for Tech Ops team Utilize dispatch reliability program data and reliability indexing to drive continuous improvements in MRO processes and content Manage and apply performance metrics to drive positive business results Develop and implement future processes and standards to improve the heavy maintenance business cycles Collaborate with carriers and maintenance providers to ensure coordinated scheduled maintenance objectives and timelines for execution Basic Qualifications Bachelor of Science Degree in business, engineering, aviation or a similar field or an Airframe and Powerplant license Minimum of 8 Years Airline and/or equivalent experience with engine and/or APU programs at a MRO, airline, or leasing company as a Program Manager, Production Manager and/or Powerplant Engineer Must be willing to travel up to 70% Proven track record of positively influencing work processes and behaviors in relatively sho
