We are seeking an experienced Head of Strategy to expand the selection of video content available for Amazon's customers on Prime Video Channels. This is a unique opportunity to help create the new video landscape. Prime Video Channels is looking for exceptionally talented, bright and driven people. Prime Video is fast becoming one of the major global players in digital entertainment. We are changing the way millions of customers enjoy movies and TV shows through Amazon Prime, new releases for rent or purchase, and subscription through Prime Video Channels. Prime Video Channels, launched in 2015, distributes video channels OTT including HBO, Showtime, Starz, Acorn TV, PBS Masterpiece and many more channels without a cable subscription. Amazon is seeking a savvy and analytical senior strategic executive to join our Amazon Channels content acquisition team. This individual will be responsible for helping to define and, in turn, execute the content strategy for our Prime Video Channels business in the US. In addition to strong analytical skills, the ideal candidate will be a critical thinker who has an attention to detail, an ability to juggle multiple priorities, and isn't afraid to roll up their sleeves up as needed. They must have the ability to clearly and concisely communicate thoughts and ideas, both written and verbally, and think outside of their direct sphere of responsibility. This position is located in Seattle, WA. Responsibilities: Evaluate short and long-term opportunities for Prime Video Channels based on the broader US media industry context; lead development of updates and deep dive documents for senior leadership as warranted on the broader US media industry context, the vMVPD landscape, and the traditional MVPD bundle Advise on planning to maintain and grow customer selection Administer and refine criteria for content selection qualification and tiering Support consistency and information sharing across Prime Video Channels teams Develop financial metrics and goals for senior management in collaboration with Finance Use data on customer behavior, usage, and consumption to inform decision-making both internally and in collaboration with content providers Leverage 3rd party research to develop insights for the business Collaborate with internal teams across all functional areas within Prime Video Work closely with Prime Video leaders to develop new services and product offerings Maintain a can-do attitude and willingness and flexibility to solve problems at short notice, using any tools necessary Prepare and deliver business reviews to senior leaders Basic Qualifications Bachelor's Degree 15+ years of experience in media industry, including consulting experience in the media industry for at least 4 years Proven ability to write documents for senior level executives End to end ownership of major project deliverables Preferred Qualifications MBA strongly preferred Knowledge of digital video landscape Strong analytical and quantitative skills, as well as the ability to use hard data and metrics to back up assumptions Self-starter who is customer obsessed, detail-oriented, and an enthusiastic team player Strong verbal and written communications skills, as well as the ability to work effectively across internal and external organizations Ability to work well in a fast paced and highly changing environment with little guidance Excellent busi
