The ideal candidate will meet the following requirements: Bachelor's degree in architecture or architectural engineering; minimum five years of related experience Licensure as an Architect or Professional Engineer preferred, but not required Experience in building science, including performance evaluations of new and existing exterior wall and window systems Experience in technical design of new curtain wall systems Competency and a strong interest in performing forensic investigations and solving problems in existing structures Strong regional experience and established clients in the Pacific Northwest Demonstrated proficiency as a project manager including development and maintenance of client relationships, management of project teams, and responsibility for all client deliverables, including technical content Participation in professional organizations on a leadership level including service on technical committees, contribution to published papers, etc. Excellent technical, written and verbal communication skills Comfortable working independently, as part of a team, and as a mentor to more junior staff Ability and interest in performing work in the field, including the ability to travel Typical responsibilities: Build new and existing client relationships Act as the primary client contact for projects, responsible for client management and all project deliverables Research and develop sound technical solutions to address building and structural concerns Develop scopes of service and prepare proposals Assemble and manage project teams, schedules, and budgets Prepare bid documents, drawings/specifications, addenda, change orders, investigation reports, and other work product Conduct on-site inspection/investigation including survey and documentation of distress, field testing, sampling, photographing, and sketching Analyze research and investigation data and develop alternate schemes for solving problems Participation in internal Technical Resource Groups The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
