We have an immediate opportunity for a Supply Technician to support our 160th Ground Vehicle Maintenance Support Contractor Field Team at Hunter AAF in Savannah, GA. This position will require an active DoD Secret clearance.DescriptionThe Supply Technician will perform limited aspects of technical supply management work (e.g., inventory management, storage management, cataloging, and property utilization) related to depot, local, or other supply activities. Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:Responsible for inventory management of decentralized and decontrolled items, including supplies, and equipmentPerforms material coordination duties for special programs, maintenance, or production shopsWrites item descriptions for a range of new items entering the supply channelsApplies requirements, selecting the appropriate description pattern and answering the requirements contained in the patternReviews existing stock catalogs, manufacturers' catalogs, drawings, or other resource materials for the purpose of matching characteristics or part numbers in order to identify duplicate items already catalogued or otherwise recorded in the supply systemWorks within a framework of established supply regulations, policies, and procedures, or other governing supply management guidelinesInteracts with a variety of operating officials regarding limited aspects of program needsQualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent is requiredA minimum of 2 years of aviation experience performing the above duties and responsibilitiesDemonstrated experience with GCSS Army requiredGood working knowledge of the governing supply systems, programs, policies, nomenclature, work methods, manuals, or other established guidelinesAbility to understand and support the needs of the organizationAnalytical ability to define or recognize the dimension of the problems involved, to collect the necessary data to establish the facts, and take or recommend action based upon application or interpretation of established guidelines Physical DemandsWork will require a high level of hand dexterity and finger use in both hands, close vision corrected/uncorrected to 20/20, prolonged periods of standing and sitting in combination with stooping, bending, reaching, pulling, and pushing, as well as ability to lift 25lbs and over with assistance.Work Environment (ADA)May be required to work in areas in the hangar and on the flight line that are noisy and dusty. May be exposed to moderate discomforts, such as heat, cold and wind.
