This operation prepares recyclable commodities for shipment to various outlets, while providing exemplary service to internal and external suppliers and customers.A Day In The Life Typically Includes:Executing the vision of the organization, while establishing expectations in all areas including, but not limited to; EH&S, Operations Excellence and LEAN ManufacturingLeading EH&S program development and implementation at site levelAssisting with writing and reviewing Standard Operating Procedures and Job Hazard Analysis, while engaging all employees in the processCommunicating respectfully and effectively with suppliers, customers, facility employees, mid-level, and senior level managementOverseeing safe equipment installation, operation, and maintenanceBuilding reliability of mechanical performance in a fast-paced plant environmentOverseeing domestic and export transportation shipping and receivingSetting standards and metrics for inventory controls, production capability and capacity, while measuring operational efficiencies and qualityDriving year-on-year improvement for all Key Performance Indicators and MetricsManaging the selection and training processes of all employeesManaging the performance review process for direct reportsAssisting with equipment selection based on business needs/demandsASI (Asset Strategy Improvement based focus)What You Will Need:Basic Qualifications:A high school diploma or GEDFive (5) or more years of management experienceThree (3) or more years experience supervising or managing a multi-shift manufacturing or plant environment with responsibility for safety, compliance, production, and P&L statementsKnowledge of domestic and export transportation logisticsExperience with Microsoft Office to include Word (document creation), Excel (creating and analyzing spreadsheets), and Outlook (email communications and calendar)What Will Put You Ahead?Preferred Qualifications:Bachelors degree or higherExperience/knowledge of polymers/plasticsBi-lingual (Spanish and English)Experience operating mobile equipmentExperience working in a recycling plantWant to learn more aboutGeorgia-Pacific?GP Harmon is one of the largest pure traders of recycled fiber in the world, trading more than 100 thousand tons per week.
