Apply labels to correct location on freights/pallets/merchandise.Manage freight deliveries by processing, identifying, counting, separating and scanning freight; operating computer software and basic applications totrack and identify freight; unloading freight from trailer manually or with power equipment; and maintaining records, logs and forms.Maintain a safe work area by checking the integrity of trailers/pallets (e.g., leaks, pest infestation, trailer damage).Provide basic maintenance to receiving equipment (e.g., cleaning, changing labels and ribbons).Organize work area by stacking empty pallets, and moving empty pallets using a pallet jack or power equipment.Physical ActivitiesThe following physical activities are necessary to perform one or more essential functions of this position.Moves up and down a ladder.Moves up and down stairs.Grasps, turns, and manipulates objects of varying size and weight, requiring fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination.Visually verifies information, often in small print.Reads information, often in small print.Visually locates merchandise and other objects.Visually inspects equipment.Reaches overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.Observe behavior of others (i.e., associates, customers, suppliers).Stand for extended periods of time.Operate motor vehicle or other large power equipment.Use approved equipment to step up and access freight and equipment in elevated areas.Walk within work area for extended periods of time.Enter and locate information on a computer or system communication device.Use crossovers to access opposite sides of conveyors.Differentiate sounds in order to inspect and maintain equipment, identify potential hazards, or recognize safety alarms.Lift, push, pull, and carry tools, objects or equipment above shoulder level without assistance.Write documents, reports, etc. using a writing instrument (e.g., pencil, pen) or computer.Moves, lifts, carries, and places merchandise and supplies weighing up to 60 pounds without assistance.* Knowledge sets include: unloading, load, truck, trailers, pallet jack, clamp, dock, pallets, lift, Packer.***Candidates must be competitive on Interview, Drug Screen and Background Check***
