This exciting role is part of a fast paced, and sales orientated team in a large multi-national company.
The role which offers a broad variety of responsibilities including international liaising and great learning opportunities.
Reporting to the business unit General Manager, the incumbent is a key member of the Senior Leadership Team with responsibility for the management of the Finance team.
Develop forward-looking insights to drive management decisions, actions and improve operational and financial results.
Provide proactive leadership around issues and opportunities, drive short term actions to achieve current results while supporting the deployment of progressive strategies which result in a sustainable competitive advantage and strong financial return on investment.
Provide technical competency to ensure compliance with corporate financial policies, local legal requirements and GAAP
Provide leadership to the Finance team to ensure adequate cost accounting processes are in place, including standard cost updates, physical inventory verification, periodic cycle counts, together with labor costs, fringe benefits, burden absorption rates, budget variances and freight etc. Analyse data to determine proper ratios of expenses to various levels of forecasted sales. Participate in the establishment of pricing policies.
Provide leadership to the Finance team to prepare and submit financial reports such as monthly financial statements, financial forecasts, tax reports and insurance reports (inc. fire, public liability, and workers compensation) to meet reporting deadlines and to maintain current records of company assets.
If you have:
Qualification: Bachelor of Business Administration (Accounting), CPA/MBA preferred
In depth knowledge of general and cost accounting, credit methods
Sound working knowledge of GAAP, Sarbanes Oxley and local statutory requirements.
Knowledge and understanding of Corporate, region/division and business reporting policies.
Experience with Oracle 11i/BI
Strong Professional presence; ability to adapt the style to fit the audience, inspires passion and commitment.
Proactive attitude to achieve financial excellence (ie: analytical, accurate forecasting, risk assessment and financial engineering).
Strong business acumen/understanding of the market and industry environment including foreign currency impacts, effective hedging protocols, and local customs and duty requirements.
