Your role as the Data Quality Director is to implement data quality resolution processes and drive for continual data quality improvements for an emerging technology product release. You will be responsible for ensuring timely and effective resolution of end user, testing, and support staff data quality issues. Your role is responsible for identifying the root cause of data quality issues and driving closure back to the root cause. You will have the responsibility of implementing tools and processes with support teams to allow issue resolution to be handled by the Tier One service teams and communicating data quality status with executive leadership.

Leads team of data quality analysts to triage and research data inquiries from internal and external end users, support personnel and testing resources.
Leads the design and implementation of cross team data research, prioritization and communication processes
Leads the implementation of the UHC production data research function
Drives analytical teams to deliver appropriate data research tools, documentation and procedures to maximize first call resolution with the business Tier One support function
Engages with cross functional teams in review and understanding of error queue management, related business impact of data issues and prioritization of data research and resolution activities
Build relationships with the business support function and upstream business operations to ensure their appropriate engagement in operational process and also in short and long term remediation approaches that impact their organizations
Ensures mechanisms are in place to track progress of longer term remediation across internal and external programs and departments
Ensures prioritization processes are in place and escalation scenarios are identified and using standard escalation processes provided across UHC
Drives continuous improvement to data research tools and processes
Defines and partners with business support operations to implement communication mechanisms for data quality issues and remediation metrics
Presents written and verbal data and system analysis findings, to business and IT stakeholders
Partners with data analytics team leader to leverage resource in researching data issues and refining data research processes and determining remediation approaches, with a view to always deliver tools to Tier One support for future use
Partners with data analytics leader to establish longer term remediation approaches and proactive quality processes
Partners with UAT leader in pre-deployment UAT and partners with Support leader in post deployment data research and issues resolution processes
Effectively communicate with many levels of the organization, business stakeholders/SME, project managers, developers, system architects, quality assurance, operations, etc.
8+ years of progressive leadership experience managing data analytics projects and technical resources
Previous experience navigating a complex matrix environment
Broad understanding of healthcare systems and data and their inter-dependencies and relationships
Experience and detailed understanding of healthcare data in two or more areas: Membership, Customer-Product, Provider, Claims, Clinical
College Degree in technical discipline (eg math, science, analysis, computer science, data analytics, informatics, etc)
Health plan and health care delivery (e.g. medical group, hospital, home health care) experience
Experience with SQL
Management and leadership positions in business operations, IT, program management
Data Profiling experience
User Acceptance Testing and/or QA testing experience
Knowledge of UHG data across lines of business (E&I, M&R and C&S)
Knowledge of relational databases, database structures
Knowledgeable in clinical policies and implications to system support processes
Demonstrates the ability to communicate complex technical issues to non-technical audience and be understood
Strong organizational and interpersonal skills, including strong PM and delivery background
Experience in working with clinicians and supporting and/or implementing clinical systems
Demonstrates tendency to delivery supported by appropriate research and fact finding
