Principal Accountabilities / Responsibilities: Operate analytical instrumentation and subscale mixers. Ability to operate computer control systems. Performs standard analytical test methods and/or mixing operations for quality control, material assessment, or engineering evaluation. Provides technical support to plant personnel. Gathers and prepares technical data, such as laboratory or material test results and engineering design changes. Follows engineering documentation requirements including specifications and drawings. Performs mathematical calculations using established formulas. Performs quantitative judgments concerning technical data. Disposes of energetics and raw materials per regulatory guidelines Communicates with multiple disciplines across the facility. Monitor gage, instrument, and equipment calibrations. Performs various technical procedures and operations. Makes and records observations; performs simple calculations; collect and prepare data for evaluation. Conducts team support functions such as stocking and distributing supplies and equipment; arranging and dismantling apparatus; and collecting, washing, and storing glassware. Performs technical and record keeping duties in conformance with company and regulatory policies and standards to meet quality and accuracy requirements. Communicates effectively as part of a team. Maintains the highest safety standards by following documented procedures. Maintains high ethical standards of work and personal conduct. Ability to change job assignments to support program needs. Ability to multitask. Position Requirements: Preferred 2-year Technology Degree OR 2 years of experience in a laboratory/manufacturing setting. Ability to routinely lift 50 pounds and ability to work in tight spaces. Demonstrated hands-on mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting. Ability to work independently and with minimum supervision. Proficient in MS office. Ability and willingness to work off shifts. Provide coverage on weekends and off shifts as needed. US citizenship required with the ability to obtain a DoD Secret security clearance Preferred Qualifications: Experience handling energetics, hazardous chemicals, and solvents preferred. Experience working in an analytical lab. Salary Range: $45,800 - $76,300
