Primary Responsibilities:

  • Executes agreements established by commodity management group

  • Coordinates requests for quote as required

  • Analyzes price proposals, financial reports, and other data and information to help determine reasonable prices

  • Researches suppliers to ensure that the organization’s standards of price, quality, timing, and reliability of supply are met

  • Develops a strategic plan for products and suppliers as needed

  • Responsible for overall relationship with one or multiple strategic accounts across a given commodity

  • Leads sourcing process from RFQ to contract signature as required

  • Ensures supplier or commodity is performing to the designed UTC requirements from delivery, quality and cost perspective

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree and 3 years of relevant experience OR

  • In absence of a degree, 7 years of relevant experience is required

Basic Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of Supply Chain processes; including buying, procurement, logistics, materials, sourcing, operations, etc.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in the Aerospace industry

  • SAP proficiency

  • Knowledge of Continuous Improvement

  • Proficient in Excel, Power Point, Project and MRP/ERP systems.
